MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Three men were charged Monday in the fatal campus shooting of a University of Memphis football player, authorities said. Taylor Bradford, 21, was shot Sept. 30 shortly before police found him fatally wounded in his car, which had crashed into a tree. All three men were charged with murder in the perpetration of attempted aggravated robbery. Police have previously refused to discuss a motive for the killing. University officials said shortly after the shooting that they believed Bradford was targeted specifically in the attack. Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press |
