TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has told executives of his ruling coalition he intends to resign, a ruling party lawmaker said on Wednesday.

"The steering committee chairman told me that the prime minister intends to resign," the LDP's Hakuo Yanagisawa told Reuters.
