MELVILLE, N.Y. (AP) -- The North American components business of Arrow Electronics Inc. said Monday it agreed to collaborate with International Business Machines Corp. on advanced chip design and manufacturing services. Arrow said the new relationship with IBM Global Engineering Solutions broadens the company's silicon portfolio by coupling its custom chip design and logistics capabilities with IBM's foundry products and services. Financial details were not disclosed. Arrow shares added 6 cents to $41.36 in midday trading, while IBM shares rose 20 cents to $115.75.
